WE ARE A CONSTANT LEARNING ORGANIZATION

We generate knowledge and share it, we strategically debate from the territories, we develop great alliances, we lead public advocacy efforts.

How we do it

We are a family foundation
that is always learning

We generate knowledge and share it; we strategically debate crucial matters from the Colombian regions; we develop important alliances; and we lead incidence efforts.

Our models are characterized for their comprehensive, systemic and alliance-focused perspective.

Intervention scheme

What is our framework?

Fundación Corona has the mission of developing innovative models that allow integral and/or systemic approach to prioritized social problems.

The models are conceptual tools, and starting from an articulated set of hypotheses, offer a framework for reading and understanding  the actors and institutional interactions among them within their systems, as well as the barriers they face and alternatives to possible solutions in a specific territory.

HOW do we do it?

Fundación Corona participates in its own and third-party level 1 initiatives
that are decisive to the build-up knowledge.

From them, it is possible to test hypothesis partially or completely. Through pilots and results, the testing of these hypothesis encourage the model consolidation and it is possible to measure their direct impact. Within this work, one of the main contributions of the Foundation is to promote the measurement of results using a common language, and in this way, to conjugate different actors’ efforts.

SHowever, it is by means of action 2 and action 3 levels —strengthening of institutional capacity and public policy incidence— that it is possible to develop long-term projects. By means of these levels of actions it is possible to fulfill major capacity in the territories, and in consequence, to broaden the indirect impact potential.

How do we strengthen our initiatives?

A set of guiding principles seeks to structure an intervention scheme that is the basic ground for the best possible results within the prioritized agendas. These results are represented at the prior phases.

There are three levels of guiding principles:

Operational:
Measurement, monitoring and evaluation; accountability, communication and usage of ICTs.
catalyzers: User centered and regional design; collaboration schemes; generation, analysis and data usage; financial innovation.
Missionary:
Sustainability and innovation.

WHAT do we want to achieve?

We want to consolidate alliances and collaborative
projects for the design, improvement, sustainability and integral implementation of the models

This process is fundamental for building long and mid-term interventions. The interventions that are designed based on these concepts are integral, territorial, and dynamic. They are linked to a particular context and its understanding, represented in the knowledge of the specific actors who are there and who are in charge of setting in motion the vision for their territories.
